PH, Singapore partner to advance programs for vulnerable sectors

The Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Ministry of Social and Family Development have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at strengthening programs for vulnerable sectors.

The signing took place on March 4 at The Peninsula Manila, led by DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian and Singapore Minister for Social and Family Development Masagos Zulkifli.

The agreement seeks to expand cooperation between the two countries on initiatives that support persons with disabilities, women, families, and children.

The partnership will also focus on strengthening the First 1,000 Days of a Child program and enhancing the professional development of social workers.

Ministers and delegates from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations also attended the MOU signing as part of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community High Level Forum hosted by the DSWD.
