PH Navy receives X-ray machines from PCSO

The Philippine Navy has received five modern and portable X-ray devices from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

The battery-operated, ultra-portable AI-powered X-ray units were formally received by Vice Admiral Jose Ma. Ambrosio Ezpeleta from PCSO General Manager Mel Robles.

These devices are not just ordinary gadgets but potential lifesavers.

According to the PCSO, the units were designed for use aboard sea-borne vessels during emergency situations and are equipped with built-in artificial intelligence capable of providing immediate diagnostic leads.

They also do not rely on a fixed power source, ensuring operational readiness even in isolated maritime environments.

In closing, the PCSO emphasized that the equipment is the “first of its kind” within the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), ensuring that sailors and seafarers have access to top-tier diagnostic tools even in the middle of the ocean.
