PDEA nabs alleged big-time pusher in Davao, seizes P420K worth of shabu

A 41-year-old man believed to be a big-time drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in Barangay 14-B, Davao City at 5:20 p.m. on July 12.

Authorities identified the suspect only as Almer. He was caught by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region XI in coordination with the Ecoland Police Station.

According to officials, the operation was carried out after a PDEA agent successfully conducted a drug transaction with the suspect. Almer was immediately arrested after handing over the illegal drugs.

Recovered from his possession were approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P420,000.

Almer is now facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He is currently detained while awaiting formal proceedings.

Authorities said the arrest is part of their ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug activities in the region.
