PDEA burns P500 million in confiscated drugs

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) destroyed nearly PHP 500 million worth of confiscated illegal drugs in a Cebu City funeral home’s thermal facility on Thursday, November 14. This significant move marks one of the largest disposals of narcotics in the Central Visayas region.

The PDEA-7 disposed of approximately 71.83 kilograms of shabu, 3.38 kilograms of marijuana, 55 ecstasy tablets, and other dangerous drugs, all collected over years of anti-drug operations by the PDEA and the Philippine National Police (PNP). These drugs were seized in various operations across Bohol, Cebu province, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, and Mandaue City.
