Hinatulang guilty ng Supreme Court (SC) si Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation Sec. Garry Gadon dahil sa ‘gross misconduct’ sa pag-commit ng perjury.
Ayon sa SC PIO, dahil daw ito sa pagbitiw ni Gadon ng mga umano’y ‘false accusation’ laban kay noo’y Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
Dahil dati pa na-disbar si Gadon, pinagbabayad siya ng SC en banc ng P150,000.
Ang desisyon ng korte ay kasunod ng reklamong inihain ng Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) hinggil sa false claims umano na ginawa ni Gadon sa impeachment complaint nito laban kay Sereno.
Una nang inirekomenda ng IBP Committee on Bar Discipline ang dalawang taong suspension matapos mapag-alamang nagsinungaling si Gadon nang sabihin nitong pineke ni Sereno ang temporary restraining order (TRO).
Sa huli, nanindigan ang SC na ang ginawang ito ni Gadon ay may malicious intent para siraan si Sereno.
Sa hiwalay na Viber messsage, pinalagan ni Gadon desisyon.
‘The case against SC employees is still pending before the Ombudsman , so the SC is premature to say that the allegations are perjured’ ani Gadon.
Kinuwestyon niya rin ang timing nito.
‘The timing of the release of the SC resolution is also suspicious at this time that I publicly criticized ABS-CBN and at this time that i have announced plans to urge the HoR to open the case of ABS-CBN anew.’ dagdag pa ni Gadon.
Maaalalang itinalaga ng Supreme Court ang ABS-CBN Justice beat reporter na si Atty. Mike Navallo bilang bago nitong Chief Communications Officer.
Wala pang kumento si Atty. Navallo hinggil sa naging pahayag ni Gadon.
