Authorities remain baffled by the heartless act of abandoning a newborn baby girl, who was found inside an eco bag on a bench at Polangui Boulevard, Barangay Batangan, Valencia City, Bukidnon.
The lifeless infant was discovered by two local government unit watchmen, Edgardo Boquil, 42, and Lemuel Celedonio Lopez, 43. The pair stumbled upon the eco bag and, upon inspection, found the newborn inside.
The baby was immediately taken to BPMC Malaybalay City, but was pronounced dead on arrival. The body is now at a local funeral home where preparations for a proper burial are underway.
Despite efforts, investigators have found no leads and no one has come forward to claim the baby’s remains. This tragic event has shocked the community and sparked an outcry for justice.
