The Southern Police District (SPD) has confirmed the arrest of actress and businesswoman Neri Naig, also known by her alias “Erin,” in connection with charges of estafa and violating the Securities Regulation Code. Naig, 41, was apprehended during a manhunt operation at the basement of a convention center in Pasay City, last Saturday.
She is “Rank No. 7” on the police’s “station-level” wanted list. The total bail for her temporary release is set at PHP 1,764,000.
It is unclear whether Naig has posted bail yet. There has been no official statement from the actress regarding the incident.
This follows earlier reports from showbiz insider Ogie Diaz, who mentioned in his vlog that Naig had been arrested. Naig is the wife of Chito Miranda, lead vocalist of the band Parokya ni Edgar.
