Nearly 20 Reported Dead Due to Recent Typhoons

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that at least 19 individuals have been reported dead due to the onslaught of Typhoons Mirasol, Nando, Opong, and the southwest monsoon.

Of the reported fatalities, 15 are still undergoing validation by authorities.

In addition, 18 individuals were reported injured, 14 of which have been confirmed.

There are also reports of 14 people missing.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,026,246 individuals—or 520,165 families—were affected across 15 regions, 57 provinces, 504 cities and municipalities, and 4,219 barangays.

Agricultural losses have reached ₱914,875,615.50.

Due to the series of weather disturbances, more than 30 cities and municipalities have declared a state of calamity.
