Mother dies, child injured in tragic motorcycle-truck collision in Cebu

A 29-year-old mother died, while her 10-year-old daughter and a female friend were injured after their motorcycle collided with an oncoming truck in Barangay Catarman, Liloan, Cebu.

According to police reports, the fatality was identified as Christine Tindoy, while the injured victims were her daughter, Princess, and her friend, Farah May Bataluna.

The Liloan Police Station’s Traffic Enforcement Unit said the motorcycle and the truck were traveling in opposite directions when Tindoy lost control of the vehicle, crashing into the truck on the opposite lane.

All three motorcycle riders were rushed to the hospital, but Tindoy was declared dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the truck driver, identified as 42-year-old Randy Baliguid, is now detained at the Liloan Police Station.
