A recent survey by OCTA Research revealed that more Filipinos identify as pro-Marcos than pro-Duterte, highlighting a shift in public support.
The survey, conducted from January 25 to 31, 2025, found that 36% of respondents support the Marcos family, while only 18% identify as pro-Duterte. This reflects a 2% decrease in Marcos supporters from the previous 38%, while Duterte’s support slightly increased by 3% from 15% recorded in 2024.
The results also show strong regional variations. The Marcos family enjoys the highest support in Balance Luzon at 47%, followed by Metro Manila with 39%, and the Visayas at 37%. However, the Duterte family remains dominant in Mindanao, where 63% of respondents expressed support, significantly higher than their 26% support in Luzon and 25% in Metro Manila.
OCTA Research surveyed 1,200 respondents nationwide, capturing public sentiment on political loyalties in the country.
