Montenegro Files Libel Case Against Media Outlets Over Marijuana Allegations

Actress and former staff of Senator Robin Padilla, Nadia Montenegro, went to the Caloocan Prosecutor’s Office to file a complaint against several media publications.

This comes after reports linked her as the Senate staff member allegedly caught using marijuana within the Senate premises.

Aside from filing against news outlets, Montenegro also lodged a separate complaint at the Pasay City Hall against a Senate staff member.

This second complaint is in relation to unjust vexation and violation of the Safe Spaces Act.

It is worth noting that Montenegro had previously denied any involvement in the issue.

Amid the controversy, she eventually resigned from her post in Padilla’s office.
