Millions worth of shabu seized in Dumaguete sting

Authorities seized millions worth of shabu from a high-value drug personality in a buy-bust operation in Purok Mabugnawon 1, Barangay Junob, Dumaguete City.

The suspect, identified as Patricio, a 54-year-old married resident of Barangay Batinguel, was apprehended after selling a packet of shabu to a police poseur buyer.

Additional packets of shabu weighing 500 grams with a street value of P3.4 million were found in Patricio’s black sling bag.

“He vehemently denied the charges, shouting, ‘I’m innocent!’ as he was taken into custody, reported Police Capt. Sherwin Galupar.

The dramatic arrest was captured on CCTV footage showing the suspect’s frantic attempts to flee.

The Dumaguete City Police Station now holds the suspect, who faces charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
