Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez and Congressman Richard Gomez personally handed out uniforms and playing shoes to Ormocanon athletes set to compete in the 2025 Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) Meet. The event took place on February 17 at the Ormoc City Fencing Hall, with a total of 111 athletes receiving their gear ahead of the competition in Dolores, Eastern Samar.

Ormoc Athletes Gear Up for EVRAA 2025

Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez emphasized the importance of proper sports equipment in boosting athlete confidence and performance. She and Rep. Richard Gomez, both strong advocates for youth development, ensured that the athletes had everything they needed for the upcoming competition. The team will be wearing the Siglaro Elites uniform, showcasing Ormoc’s signature white and blue colors.

The EVRAA Meet 2025 will officially kick off on February 22 and run until February 25 in Dolores, Eastern Samar. The event is expected to draw hundreds of young athletes from various school divisions across Eastern Visayas, competing in different sports categories.
