Two suspected high-value drug pushers from Cotabato were arrested in an anti-drug operation in Purok Perlas, Barangay Bato, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, in the early hours of February 18, 2025.
Authorities from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 11, the Davao del Sur Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Sta. Cruz Municipal Police conducted the buy-bust operation at around 1:23 a.m. The suspects, identified by aliases “Norodin,” 27, and “Said,” 24, were caught selling suspected shabu worth ₱40,000 to an undercover agent.
During the operation, authorities confiscated approximately 103 grams of suspected shabu, valued at ₱864,000, along with the marked buy-bust money. A vehicle allegedly used in the illegal drug transaction was also seized.
The suspects are set to face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
