President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr breaks his silence on the threats and tirades made by her erstwhile running mate Vice President Sara Duterte.
Marcos said he is worried about the series of curses and threats the vice president directed towards them and he could not take these actions sitting down.
Marcos said in a video message.
Marcos added that as a leader of a democratic country he needs to uphold the rule of law but as to how he would do it the president did not specify.
The president also said that elected officials have sworn duties to uphold the Constitution and it is wrong to stop the investigation that seeks the truth.
The president also believed the issues could have already been stopped if only the vice president directly addressed the questions.
Marcos further stressed that the laws must prevail at all times and apply to all.
On Saturday in a virtual press conference the vice president told a supporter that if she gets killed, they have nothing to worry about as she had already contracted an assassin to kill the president, the first lady and the house speaker.
“Wag kang mag alala sa security ko kasi may kinausap na akong tao sinabi ko sa kanya na kapag pinatay ako patayin mo si BBM, Liza Araneta at Martin Romualdez, it’s no joke.” Duterte said.
