President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s net satisfaction rating fell to -11 in September, placing him in the “poor” category, according to the latest survey by Social Weather Stations (SWS).
The survey showed that 35% of Filipinos were satisfied with Marcos’ performance, while 46% were dissatisfied and 20% were undecided.
The result marked a four-point decline from his net satisfaction rating of -7 in June, which SWS classified as “neutral.” However, the September rating remained above his record low of -15 recorded in March 2026.
Marcos received varying satisfaction ratings across the country’s major regions. Balance Luzon recorded the highest rating at zero, classified as “neutral.” His rating stood at -13 in the Visayas, -21 in Mindanao and -27 in Metro Manila.
SWS conducted the survey from Sept. 21 to 27, involving 1,500 adults interviewed face to face. The survey had a sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points for the national results.
The survey also examined public awareness of Marcos’ State of the Nation Address (SONA).
According to the results, 47% of respondents said they had heard or watched the address, while 53% said they had neither heard nor read it.
Among those who had watched or heard the SONA, 13% said the speech was completely believable, while another 13% considered it more believable than not.
Meanwhile, 22% said the address was less believable than not, and 15% said it was not believable at all.
These responses resulted in a net believability score of -11 for Marcos’ SONA.
The findings reflect respondents’ reported satisfaction with the president’s performance and their assessments of the credibility of his annual address during the survey period.
