LTO suspends influencer’s license over viral video

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended the driver’s license of social media influencer “Cherry White” after a video of her driving in a relaxed and unsafe posture went viral online.

The video shows White behind the wheel with one leg raised and resting on the seat, an act that the LTO says could potentially lead to an accident. The agency cited the video as evidence of dangerous behavior on the road.

In response, the LTO issued a Show Cause Order against White, directing her to explain why she should not be held liable for reckless driving and being an improper person to operate a motor vehicle.

While the investigation is ongoing, White’s license has been suspended for 90 days. She has been ordered to surrender the license to the LTO Central Office.

The agency also placed an “alarm” on her vehicle, which means it is now flagged in their system as part of the ongoing probe.

The LTO reminded the public that road safety is a shared responsibility and warned motorists against irresponsible behavior that could endanger others.
