Davao del Sur Representative John Tracy Cagas was the only lawmaker from the Davao Region who signed the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.
On Wednesday, 215 members of the House of Representatives signed the impeachment complaint, with Cagas being the only supporter from his region.
A list released on the same day showed that 12 lawmakers from the Davao Region did not sign the complaint. These include Davao City Reps. Paolo Duterte, Vincent Garcia, and Isidro Ungab.
Other non-signatories were Davao de Oro Reps. Maricar Zamora and Ruwel Peter Gonzaga, as well as Davao del Norte Reps. Pantaleon Alvarez and Alan Dujali.
From Davao Oriental, Reps. Nelson Dayanghirang and Cheeno Almario also did not sign, along with Davao Occidental Rep. Claude Bautista.
Dumper Partylist Rep. Claudine Diana Bautista and PBA Partylist Rep. Margarita Ignacia Nograles, a known political rival of the Dutertes, were also among those who did not sign.
The impeachment move against Duterte has sparked political discussions, especially in the Davao Region, a long-time stronghold of the Duterte family.
