1Tahanan Partylist has made a significant leap, climbing to the 32nd spot in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from December 2024 to January 2025, a notable improvement from its previous 37th place.
First nominee Attorney Nathaniel Oducado told Brigada News FM Philippines on Tuesday, February 4, that the partylist’s growth stems from years of unwavering dedication to serving underserved communities.
“We are very happy that our poorman’s campaign has improved our survey ranking. But 14 weeks is still a long way to go. Sana this elections will not just be a popularity or war chest contest, but of real leaders pushing for institutional changes for those who needs it the most – the poor.,” he said.
He also emphasized the importance of electing a diverse set of leaders who can bring real checks and balances, ensuring that everyone in public office does their job effectively to serve the people.
In a previous interview, Oducado said that the partylist deeply advocates for a holistic approach to address various systemic problems, which hinder development and progress.
Since its inception 10 years ago, 1Tahanan Partylist has worked to create lasting change by equipping Filipinos with the skills, networks, and platforms they need to succeed.
Oducado has also criticized the government’s reliance on dole-out programs, arguing that they fail to offer sustainable solutions.
He stressed that rather than helping people rise above the poverty line, these programs often perpetuate the cycle of poverty, leaving vulnerable communities trapped by ineffective safety nets.
