A security guard was stabbed twice while on duty at a business establishment in Lubogan, Toril, Davao City, on Tuesday morning.
The victim, identified only as Christopher, 33, was attacked by a tricycle driver named Eddie, 37, according to an initial report from the Toril Police Station.
Witness accounts revealed that Eddie arrived at Christopher’s workplace and immediately stabbed him twice in the back. Investigators suspect jealousy as the motive behind the attack, with reports indicating Eddie accused Christopher of stealing his partner.
Authorities are continuing to probe the case to confirm if the alleged love triangle fueled the assault.
Following the incident, Eddie surrendered to the police and handed over the knife used in the crime. Meanwhile, Christopher was rushed to the hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition.
