Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for an end to the months-long conflict involving Iran, the United States, and other actors in the Middle East, as Tehran pushes for an agreement to halt the fighting.
Pezeshkian maintained that Iran remains strong and insisted that the memorandum of understanding reached with Washington in June should not be interpreted as a surrender by Tehran.
He emphasized that the agreement contains no provision requiring Iran to give up, saying the commitments outlined in the deal apply only to the other side.
His remarks came after Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said he had approved the agreement intended to bring an end to the conflict, despite differences in their respective positions.
The developments come as efforts continue to ease tensions and prevent further escalation in the region.
