Inday-Digong Alliance, ‘No Problem’ Says Barbers

Vice President Sara Duterte has the right to select former President Rodrigo Duterte as her lawyer if she chooses, said House Quad Committee Chairman Robert Ace Barbers.

Barbers emphasized that every individual, including the Vice President, has the constitutional right to choose their legal counsel when facing legal proceedings, including impeachment trials.

The impeachment complaints filed against Vice President Duterte are currently under review by the Office of the Secretary General of the House of Representatives.

Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability Chairman Joel Chua also affirmed that it is within Duterte’s rights to decide who will represent her in legal matters.
