Fifteen people have reportedly died due to the southwest monsoon, or Habagat, according to the Philippine National Police.
PNP Public Information Office Chief Col. Allen Rae Co said two deaths were recorded by Police Regional Office 1 due to electrocution and drowning.
Seven deaths were reported in Region 4A, with incidents involving rockfall or landslides, drowning, electrocution and falling trees.
The Police Regional Office Cordillera reported six deaths due to landslides.
The incidents were recorded in several areas, including La Union, Pangasinan, Rizal and Batangas, as well as La Trinidad in Benguet and Baguio City.
The PNP also reported 13 people injured and six missing in connection with the weather-related incidents.
Co clarified that the reported figures are still subject to validation.
More than 3,000 police officers have been deployed to areas affected by the Habagat as response operations continue.
