A Grade 12 student was arrested during a buy-bust operation after authorities seized more than P1 million worth of suspected shabu in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City, on June 10, 2026.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Bords,” is an 18-year-old student currently enrolled in Grade 12.
According to authorities, the operation was conducted following surveillance and case build-up activities that monitored the suspect’s alleged involvement in illegal drug activities. Investigators said the suspect was reportedly obtaining illegal drugs from an unidentified man riding a motorcycle.
During the operation, authorities confiscated approximately 160 grams of suspected shabu from the suspect. Based on the standard drug price used by law enforcement agencies, the seized illegal drugs were estimated to be worth P1,088,000.
Police said the confiscated substance will undergo the necessary procedures as part of the investigation and the filing of charges against the suspect.
The arrested student is currently under the custody of Police Station 6 while authorities prepare charges for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Officials have not released additional information regarding the unidentified individual allegedly linked to the supply of illegal drugs. Authorities said efforts are ongoing to determine the identity of the person and gather further evidence related to the case.
The arrest forms part of continuing anti-illegal drug operations in Bacolod City. Police continue to conduct investigations to establish the full extent of the suspect’s alleged involvement and identify other individuals who may be connected to the illegal drug trade.
