Government hospitals in Metro Manila ready for Traslacion

Government hospitals in Metro Manila are set to implement a Code White alert ahead of the upcoming Feast of the Black Nazarene.

In an interview, Department of Health (DOH) spokesperson Assistant Secretary Albert Domingo said that Code White will again be raised in government hospitals across Metro Manila, as well as nearby areas in Central and Southern Luzon.

Under Code White, hospitals are placed on standby to provide immediate medical assistance at any time.

The DOH will also deploy around 200 emergency health response teams on the day of the feast.

In addition, the agency assured the public that it is prepared in case of a mass casualty event.

The DOH also advised individuals with existing medical conditions to stay at home for their own safety.
