Gensan security guard dies after assault by drunk suspect

A 61-year-old security guard died after being assaulted by a drunk man inside a hotel in Barangay Fatima, General Santos City. The victim, identified as Alando Gealogo of Purok 13-B, was on duty when he responded to a disturbance involving three intoxicated men in the Employees Village area. According to initial reports, the suspect punched the guard, causing him to fall and hit his head on the cement floor. Bystanders immediately rushed Gealogo to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
