Gatchalian doubts authenticity of ‘blank items’ in 2025 budget

Senator Win Gatchalian doubts the authenticity of a circulating document allegedly showing “blank items” in the approved 2025 National Budget, saying it did not come from the Senate.

Gatchalian stated that he first saw the document through media reports and had no prior knowledge of its existence. While he did not confirm or deny its legitimacy, he emphasized that neither he nor his fellow senators had signed it.

Recently, Senate President Chiz Escudero assured that the Senate is prepared to comply with any Supreme Court ruling regarding the petition challenging the 2025 budget.
