Motorists can look forward to a rollback in fuel prices next week following three consecutive weeks of price hikes. According to the Department of Energy (DOE), the price of gasoline is expected to drop by P0.70 to P1.00 per liter, diesel by P0.65 to P0.95, and kerosene by P0.70 to P0.80.
Rodela Romero, the assistant director of the DOE-Oil Industry Management Bureau, explained that these estimates are based on four days of trading in the international oil market.
Final estimates will be released on Saturday, and the official price adjustment will be announced on Monday, becoming effective on Tuesday.
