Man stabs himself inside establishment in General Santos City

Police responded swiftly after a man locked himself inside an establishment along National Highway corner Bulaong Avenue, Barangay Dadiangas North, General Santos City.

The incident happened on Monday afternoon, causing alarm among nearby residents and workers in the area.

According to the initial investigation, the man reportedly held himself hostage inside the establishment before stabbing himself with a knife.

Responding officers immediately entered the premises after receiving reports from concerned citizens about the man’s strange and dangerous behavior.

Witnesses said the suspect appeared distressed and repeatedly threatened to harm himself before inflicting stab wounds on his body.

Police and rescue teams quickly intervened and transported the man to the nearest hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Authorities said the man suffered from multiple injuries but remained alive while undergoing treatment. Investigators are looking into family-related problems as the possible reason behind his actions.
