Ex-cop busted with ₱68K shabu in Davao Oriental

A former police officer, identified as “Alias Dongkoy,” was arrested in Brgy. Batobato, San Isidro, Davao Oriental on January 24 after authorities seized illegal drugs in his possession.

The San Isidro Municipal Police Station, alongside other law enforcement agencies, executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence during a late-night operation. “Alias Dongkoy,” once a member of the Philippine National Police, is considered a high-value individual in the region’s anti-drug campaign.

Seized from the suspect were 10 grams of suspected shabu, with a street value of ₱68,000, along with drug paraphernalia. The recovered items were properly marked and inventoried in the presence of witnesses and the suspect.

Charges for violating R.A. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, have been filed against the suspect. He is currently detained at the San Isidro Municipal Police Station.
