According to the initial investigation by the San Enrique Municipal Police Station, Noel may have slipped while crossing a bamboo bridge and fell into the river. The incident occurred Monday, June 23, during heavy rainfall that caused the river to swell.

The police believe the strong current carried the victim downstream, eventually leading to the recovery of his body in a neighboring city.
