Filipino emigrants can now experience a faster and smoother immigration process as the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) integrates its system into the enhanced e-Travel app.
Officials launched the upgraded system on Friday, February 28, at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 as part of the government’s push to modernize services under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas vision.
This initiative aims to simplify travel procedures and strengthen the country’s digital capabilities.
With this integration, outbound Filipino travelers can verify their CFO registration requirements before departure, eliminating confusion and reducing delays.
By linking the CFO’s system with the Bureau of Immigration’s (BI) Border Control and Travel App, authorities can ensure a more secure and efficient verification process.
The system also helps prevent the use of fake CFO certificates. Government agencies can now share data more effectively, strengthening border security and ensuring the authenticity of travel documents.
The Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) and the BI worked together to develop the upgraded E-travel app.
Immigration officers can now instantly verify a traveler’s CFO registration, eliminating manual checks and speeding up the entire process for Filipino travelers.*
