According to Duterte, the Vice President’s controversial remarks were made in a moment of anger. He further challenged critics to file charges against his daughter if they believe she crossed the line.
Meanwhile, Duterte criticized National Security Adviser Eduardo Año for reacting to Vice President Sara’s alleged death threat against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. He argued that Año should not have given the matter undue attention.
Earlier, the Department of Justice revealed that it was considering Vice President Sara as a potential mastermind in an alleged assassination plot against the President, citing her statements as grounds for the investigation.
