Former President Rodrigo Duterte and GABRIELA Party-list Rep. Arlene Brosas had a heated exchange during a House Committee hearing regarding the war on drugs.
Duterte reiterated that he takes full responsibility for the deaths that occurred during his campaign against illegal drugs. He stated, “I am responsible for everything that happened in the drug war, whether the deaths occurred legally or illegally, because I gave the order for this campaign.”
He challenged anyone who wants to file a case against him, saying he is open to facing any legal action regarding the killings.
Rep. Arlene Brosas responded by insisting that Duterte should just give a simple “yes” or “no” answer, but their argument escalated as Duterte continued to elaborate on his stance.
