The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is on full alert for the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on November 1 and 2.
In a statement, DSWD Assistant Secretary and spokesperson Irene Dumlao said the agency guarantees immediate assistance to families who may need help while traveling back to their respective provinces.
According to Dumlao, the agency has enough relief supplies, including family food packs and other non-food items, for individuals who may be stranded at ports during their trip.
Meanwhile, the DSWD’s Quick Response Teams are also on standby to respond to any untoward incidents.
The agency is now on full alert to support local government units as needed.
