Dr. Leachon vows to continue pursuing Dengvaxia cases despite PCP suspension

Physician at public health advocate Anthony Leachon has pushed back against his six-month suspension from the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP).

The suspension was reportedly imposed over allegations of defamation against fellow health professionals and violations of ethical standards.

Despite the disciplinary action, Leachon said he remains committed to the ongoing court proceedings related to the Dengvaxia controversy.

According to him, nearly a decade has passed since the issue emerged, and the families who lost children allegedly linked to the vaccine have carried that burden for just as long.

Leachon stressed that these families deserve the opportunity to be heard, receive answers, and see the judicial process move forward without delay.

He also expressed concern over what he described as efforts to undermine his credibility.

While disagreeing with the PCP’s decision, Leachon said he and his legal team are currently exploring possible remedies and courses of action regarding the suspension.
