DBM Announces Approval of FY 2023 PBB for Teachers

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Department of Education (DepEd) have announced the approval of the Fiscal Year 2023 performance-based bonus (PBB) for qualified teaching and non-teaching personnel.

In a joint statement, the agencies said the bonus was approved following the endorsement of DepEd’s eligibility by the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Harmonization of National Government Performance Monitoring, Information, and Reporting Systems.

DepEd scored 80 points in the eligibility assessment, qualifying the department for the highest PBB rate of 52% of the employees’ monthly basic salary.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara expressed his gratitude to the DBM for the approval, saying the bonus reflects the unwavering dedication of educators.

He also thanked partner agencies for their continued support in uplifting the teaching profession.
