A suspected drug den was dismantled and three individuals were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted late Thursday night in Barangay Cadunan, Mabini, Davao de Oro
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 11, in coordination with the Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Mabini Municipal Police Station, carried out the operation at around 11:25 p.m. on April 11 in Purok 1A.
Authorities identified the target as Lycka, 34, a male suspect alleged to be the drug den’s maintainer. He was arrested after selling suspected shabu worth ₱50,000 to an undercover agent posing as a buyer. Also apprehended were his employee, Paloy, and a visitor, Una.
Recovered from the scene were three heat-sealed sachets containing approximately 18 grams of suspected shabu, valued at an estimated ₱180,000. Law enforcement also seized assorted drug paraphernalia, the marked buy-bust money, and a .45 caliber pistol loaded with live ammunition.
The suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
All arrested individuals are currently under the custody of PDEA Regional Office 11 as further investigation continues.
