The Department of Agriculture (DA) is expected to begin distributing the fuel subsidy for farmers and fishermen this month.
The subsidy aims to help the sector cope with rising fuel prices amid the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
According to DA spokesperson Arnel de Mesa, the subsidy may be released within the next two weeks.
He added that Bongbong Marcos has also urged for the immediate distribution of the assistance.
Meanwhile, the agency said it is also monitoring a possible increase in the prices of some agricultural products such as galunggong and pork, which could rise by as much as ₱30.
