Bodies of 2 kids recovered after van swept away by flood in Palawan

The bodies of two children have been recovered after a van was swept away by floodwaters along Puerto Princesa South National Highway, Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Search efforts continue for two missing passengers.

Relatives confirmed that the victims were Jamsarie Nasad, 9, and his younger brother, Mc Jao Nasad, 6. Their parents, Jamal and Evelyn Nasad, remain missing.

Rescuers also recovered the body of another passenger, identified as Michelle Solis Acayan, 34. Authorities are still searching for the van’s driver and his wife.

Heavy rains brought by the shear line have caused widespread flooding and landslides in Palawan. Several areas have reported road closures, while work and classes remain suspended across most of the province.
