The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is set to secure the MassKara Festival 2025 with a massive and well-coordinated deployment of 1,819 police officers, as the city gears up for the festivities this October.
Police Colonel Joeresty Coronica told Brigada News FM Bacolod on Wednesday, September 24, that the deployment comprises 900 officers from the Regional Headquarters, 600 from Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR), and 300 from PRO-Western Visayas.
He said that the deployed police will patrol key festival sites around the clock, including public plazas, main event venues, roads, and other critical areas, ensuring a 24/7 security presence.
BCPO will implement its Intensive Security and Deployment of Personnel Plan to manage crowds, prevent criminal activity, reroute traffic, and coordinate closely with the city government, Coronica said.
He added that police will work hand-in-hand with MassKara Festival organizers and other law enforcement agencies to guarantee a safe and peaceful celebration for all attendees.*
