Authorities arrested four individuals on Friday, April 25, after they were caught using shabu inside an abandoned bus along C. Padilla Street, Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City.
The operation, conducted shortly after noon, led to the arrest of Ricky, 42, a taxi driver identified as the primary subject of the operation. Along with him, three others were apprehended: alias Jose, 31, alias Abelito, 39, both bus conductors, and alias Joan, 37.
According to reports, agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Central Visayas (PDEA-7) discovered the group inside the abandoned vehicle, which had allegedly been repurposed as a drug den.
Confiscated during the operation were 12 packets of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of ₱68,000.
The four suspects are now facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The abandoned bus, located in a densely populated area of Cebu City, drew concern from residents, prompting authorities to act.
Further investigations are underway to determine whether the group was operating independently or connected to a larger drug network.
