Pinuri ni Senator Christopher “Bong” Go ang pagkakapasa ng Senate Bill No. 2373 sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa.
Ang Senate Bill No. 2373 ay magbibigay ng ‘survivorship benefits’ sa mga pamilya ng nasawing miyembro National Prosecution Service.
Ayon kay Go ang naturang panukala ay bilang pagbibigay pugay sa katapangan ng mga prosecutors na palaging nakakatanggap ng banta sa kanilang buhay dahil sa trabaho nito bilang mga opisyal ng korte.
“I laud the passage of this measure which honors the bravery of our prosecutors who confront real threats and risks to their lives and the lives of their families while dutifully carrying out their duties as officers of the courts,” saad ni Go.
Nakasaad sa panukala na maaring maipasa sa surviving legitimate spouse at dependent children ang mga benipisyo ng masasawing NPS member.
Sa kasalukuyang batas tanging Ombudsman officials at mga personnel nito, judiciary members, at mga opisyal ng gobyerno ang elegible sa survivor benifits.
