The brother of late actress Julie Vega has finally broken his silence to address long-standing stories suggesting that supernatural forces were behind the actress’s untimely death.
Joseph firmly denied claims of alleged possession and other paranormal occurrences associated with Julie, maintaining that the actress died from multiple sclerosis, a disease that affects the brain and spinal cord.
He stressed that their family never witnessed any unusual or supernatural behavior as Julie’s health condition continued to worsen.
Among the stories that circulated over the years was the alleged possession of the actress while filming Lovingly Yours, Helen: The Movie, in which she portrayed a character believed to be possessed by a demon.
Other accounts also claimed that some individuals heard a woman crying while Julie’s personal belongings were being attended to following her death.
However, Joseph’s statement sought to clarify these accounts and put an end to speculations surrounding the circumstances of his sister’s passing.
Meanwhile, Julie Vega remains remembered for her contributions to Philippine cinema, including her award-winning performance in Mga Mata ni Angelita, which earned her the FAMAS Award for Best Child Actress.
