OPM singer Bamboo has made his long-awaited return to releasing new music with his latest single, “Alon,” marking his first new release in 11 years.
Despite its melancholic melody, Bamboo said the song is also about choosing to face pain and life’s challenges without losing sight of the joy that life brings.
The singer explained that he spent the past 11 years focusing on other important aspects of his life, while remaining active in the music industry through collaborations and concerts both in the Philippines and abroad.
Bamboo also noted that “Alon” can be interpreted beyond personal relationships, with listeners able to find social and political commentary in its message.
He emphasized the importance of unity among Filipinos and their leaders in addressing the country’s challenges and protecting public safety and welfare.
With the release of “Alon,” Bamboo opens a new chapter in his music career, returning with fresh material after more than a decade without releasing a new single.
