Several showbiz personalities have expressed support for actor Alden Richards following allegations made against him by social media personality Xian Gaza.
Among those who came to the actor’s defense were comedian Ai-Ai delas Alas, That’s My Bae winner Kenneth Medrano, actor Jerald Napoles, and entertainment reporter Lhar Santiago.
In an Instagram post, Ai-Ai shared her experiences with Alden’s kindness and generosity, particularly toward his friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
She recounted how the actor offered to renovate her former restaurant and help arrange the necessary services.
According to Ai-Ai, Alden does not usually publicize the assistance he extends to others.
Kenneth also shared his experience when he underwent surgery for testicular cancer, saying Alden was among those who helped him.
Medrano stressed that the allegations circulating online have yet to be proven, urging the public to establish the facts before passing judgment.
Meanwhile, Napoles pointed out that not all acts of kindness are visible to the public, while Santiago urged people not to readily believe allegations without sufficient basis.
Actor and host Michael Bristol also weighed in on the controversy, citing Alden’s business ventures and achievements as part of his perspective.
Lawyer and radio broadcaster Jesus Falcis questioned the allegations, including claims that Alden failed to return expensive watches and continued using a condominium unit.
Talent manager and showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz also raised questions about the accusations and why the matter was allegedly not being pursued directly through legal channels.
Gaza had accused Alden of allegedly refusing to vacate a condominium unit lent to him by a wealthy business couple and failing to return luxury watches reportedly worth millions of pesos.
As of the report, Alden and his camp had yet to issue a direct statement responding to the allegations.
The claims remain unproven, and the report did not present evidence establishing their validity.
