23-year-old rider dies after motorcycle collides with tricycle in Koronadal City

A 23-year-old motorcycle rider died after his vehicle collided with a tricycle along Gensan Drive in Barangay Zone III, Koronadal City, shortly after 5:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2026.

The crash occurred in front of the National Food Authority Region XII.

The victim was identified as Ralph, 23, single and a resident of Purok Pag-asa, Barangay Reyes, Banga, South Cotabato.

According to the Koronadal City Police Station Traffic Section, the tricycle was being driven by 34-year-old Jestony, single and a resident of Purok Tony Ko, Barangay Zone III.

Police said the tricycle was traveling along the National Highway from the direction of the New City Hall and was turning toward Robredo Street when it collided with the motorcycle being driven by the victim.

Both drivers and the tricycle passenger were taken to the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital following the collision.

The motorcycle rider was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

The incident remains under investigation by the Koronadal City police.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated by the Traffic Section.
