Allegations by former police officer Rodulfo Gracioso Jr. involving the alleged delivery of money to members of the Duterte family may be considered in the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte if proven true.
House prosecution spokesperson Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong said in an interview with Brigada News FM Manila that the allegations could be studied if these are found to be connected to the Vice President’s alleged undeclared wealth in her Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth or SALN.
Adiong, however, stressed that the allegations have yet to be verified and must first undergo further investigation and scrutiny.
Gracioso has reportedly submitted photos and videos to the National Bureau of Investigation and challenged those he named in his allegations to undergo a lie detector test.
The House prosecution is now awaiting the NBI’s verification before determining whether the allegations could be incorporated into the impeachment case.
