The Philippines capped its women’s double sepaktakraw campaign with a silver medal after bowing to Vietnam in the gold medal match of the 2026 Asian Games on Tuesday.
Filipina pair Jean Marie Sucalit and team captain/feeder Abegail Sinogbuhan put up a fight at Court 2 of the Nagoya City Mizuho Park Gymnasium but fell to Vietnam in straight sets, 8-15, 4-15.
Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Thu Trang and Nguyen Thi Khanh Ly dictated the pace from the outset and secured the gold medal with a composed performance.
Despite missing out on the top spot, the Filipina duo delivered a strong campaign, earning the silver medal and another podium finish for Team Philippines at the Asian Games.
