Yeng Constantino assured fans that her husband, Victor “Yan” Asuncion, is not jealous of comedian Ryan Bang despite renewed interest in their past “almost” romance.
In an interview, Yeng jokingly said she wished her husband would get jealous, but admitted that jealousy is simply not Yan’s personality. According to the singer, her husband knows her well and understands that her interaction with Ryan during her “Biyaheng Bente: 20th Anniversary Concert” was all in good fun.
Yeng also revealed that instead of feeling jealous, Yan can actually empathize with Ryan because he understands what the comedian went through in the past.
Although Yan and Ryan are not yet close friends, Yeng said she hopes the three of them can eventually spend time together and bond.
The issue surrounding Yeng and Ryan’s “almost” romance resurfaced after Yeng serenaded the comedian during her anniversary concert on August 28.
During the performance, Yeng revisited her former crush on Ryan and recalled how the comedian once pursued her during their early years in showbiz.
Yeng previously admitted that she had a huge crush on Ryan but was hurt when he suddenly stopped courting her. Ryan, meanwhile, explained that he thought Yeng was not interested in him and admitted that he was “financially incapable” of pursuing a relationship at the time.
Following the concert, Ryan became emotional on “It’s Showtime” as he recalled his experience at Yeng’s concert and the memories they shared when they were still starting out in the entertainment industry.
